ABOUT JJ NELSON

Fifth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft. He displayed flashes of his potential as a deep threat in his rookie year, collecting nearly 300 receiving yards on only 11 catches.

He played football at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he was a first-team All-American in 2014.

Along with being a standout high school football player, he was the MVP of his basketball team and a two-time state champion in the 100-meter dash.

He was born Jamarcus Nelson. His mother's name is Marsha.

He caught two of Carson Palmer 's 35 touchdown passes in 2015.
