ABOUT JOANNA NEWSOM

Harpist and singer who released the album The Milk-Eyed Mender in 2004, receiving attention for the song "Bridges and Balloons." As an actress, she has appeared in episodes of the show Portlandia.

She studied music composition and creative writing in Oakland at Mills College.

She had a cameo on an episode of Portlandia. In 2015, she released her fourth studio album, Divers.

She married comedian Andy Samberg in 2013; they welcomed a daughter in 2017. In 2023, they welcomed their second child.

She has been a guest on The Jimmy Kimmel Show.
