Widely known as the brother to All Time Low guitarist Jack Barakat . He also has a sister named May , and they three are often featured on one another's social media accounts.

His brother rose to fame as a founding member and the lead guitarist for the pop punk band All Time Low.

He graduated from Oxford University's prestigious Said Business School in 2012 with his MBA with distinction.

He announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend Kathryn on Instagram in February 2017.

He posted a photo while attending an advanced screening of Ant-Man in July 2015 to his Instagram of Paul Rudd at the same screening.
