ABOUT JOHN AVERY

Running back who played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos from 1998-1999.

He spent two years at Northwest Mississippi Community College, and two years at Ole Miss, before being selected 29th overall in the 1998 NFL draft.

Following his NFL career, he played in the CFL from 2001-2007, where he was an All-Star in 2002, and a Grey Cup champion in 2004.

He was born in Richmond, Virginia.

As a rookie he played alongside quarterback Dan Marino .
