New York fashion designer most known for his use of delicate fabrics, specifically French silks.

He studied History, Physics, and Arabic at New York University before pursuing his fashion career.

Ironically enough, even though his own line never contained denim, he was considered by many to be a master denim designer.

He was born and raised in New York.

He and screenwriter Alfred Levitt are both graduates of New York University.
