ABOUT JOHN FEENEY
Director of documentary films who was nominated for two Academy Awards and worked with the New Zealand National Film Unit. He was nominated for the short film The Living Stone and for Eskimo Artist: Kenoujak.
He went to Victoria University and served as a lieutenant during the Second World War.
He worked for a number of years in Egypt as a filmmaker and photographer starting in 1963 and made the documentary Fountains of the Sun.
He was born in Ngaruawahia and came from a New Zealand family.
He is a director from New Zealand like Andrew Adamson .
