ABOUT JOHN JEFFERSON

Wide receiver best known for his years with the San Diego Chargers, where he was a member of the famous "Air Coryell" receiving corps. He was a three-time All-Pro and was named to the San Diego Chargers 50th Anniversary Team.

He played for the Arizona State Sun Devils from 1974 to 1973.

He became the first wide receiver to gain 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons.

He was born in Dallas, Texas.

He caught passes from Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts in San Diego.
