John Johnson III

ABOUT JOHN JOHNSON III

NFL free safety that was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 during the third round. He was later signed by the Cleveland Browns on a multi-year deal in March 2021. Prior to being drafted, he played college football at Boston College .

He is a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He was originally named a two-star prospect as a running back and free safety.

He recorded his first career NFL interception facing Russell Wilson during his rookie season. He later caught his second NFL interception facing Derek Carr .

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Hyattsville, Maryland area. He is the youngest of two siblings.

He is a former Boston College athlete just like Matt Ryan and Jared Dudley .
