Scottish former music manager who steered the careers of major artists such as Elton John and Queen . He also worked as a promoter for EMI and was hired to be the manager of Irish dancer Michael Flatley .
He studied marine propulsion at Stow College in Glasgow, Scotland.
He was a judge on the Australian version of The X Factor in 2005.
His mother Betty was a shop worker and his father John was a welder. He's also known for having had a long-term romantic relationship with Elton John.
He was once a student of singer Gerry Rafferty at St. Mirin's Academy.
