ABOUT JOHN WILSON

Filmmaker who has gained widespread acclaim for his HBO comedy docuseries How To with John Wilson. He received critical acclaim for the show, and saw it renewed for a second season shortly after its October 2020 premiere.

He graduated from Binghamton University. He spent his first year out of college in 2008 working for a private investigator.

He directed the 2015 true crime documentary about David Byrne , Temporary Color. He also made a documentary for Vimeo about the Sundance Film Festival called Escape from Park City in April 2017.

He was inspired to begin filmmaking after his dad got him a camera.

He has been a frequent collaborator with Nathan Fielder , who produced his HBO series How To with John Wilson.
