ABOUT JOHNNY RADUCANU

Mr. Jazz of Romania. He profoundly impacted future generations of Romanian jazz musicians. He founded the Romanian Jazz School.

He first played the double bass when he was 19, but soon switched over to piano.

He served as president of the Romanian Jazz Federation.

He was born into a family whose musical roots stretched back to the 17th century.

He was made an honorary member of New Orleans' Louis Armstrong Academy.
