Jorge Sharp Fajardo

ABOUT JORGE SHARP FAJARDO

Chilean lawyer and politician who is known for having served as the mayor of Valparaiso. He is a member of the Social Convergence political party and also helped found the Autonomous Left movement in 2006 while still a student.

He studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Calparaiso He then became a member of the Center for Legal Academic Studies in 2005 before earning his qualifications to become a lawyer in 2015.

He is also known for having served on the board of directors for the FEPUCV before becoming their president in 2009.

He was born and raised in Punta Arenas, Chile.

He helped found the Autonomous Left movement with then fellow law student and later fellow politician Gabriel Boric .
