ABOUT JOSE FERMIN

Shortstop and middle infielder that was first signed by the Cleveland Guardians as an international free agent in 2015. He was later acquired by the St. Louis Cardinals via trade in November 2022.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Guardians rookie affiliate team. After 16 games, he was then sent to the AZL Guardians.

In 2019, he recorded a career high 115 hits during the season. His next highest single season total was only 80 hits.

He grew up living with his family in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. He has been in a relationship with Maddie Day. He has a daughter.

He shares a March 29th birthday with Amy Sedaris and N'Golo Kanté .
