ABOUT JOSHUA VAN

Mixed martial artist who is the first Burmese fighter to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He competes in the Flyweight division. His nickname is "The Fearless."

At age 10, he and his family moved to Malaysia. At age 12, they migrated to Houston, Texas.

He began his professional MMA career in 2021. He fought for Fury Fighting Championship. In the summer of 2025, he was #1 in the UFC flyweight rankings.

He is one of five siblings. He identifies as one of the Chin people, an ethnic minority in Myanmar.

In June 2025, fighter Alexandre Pantoja said, "I think this guy is going to be my toughest challenger."
