ABOUT JOWON BRIGGS

Professional defensive tackle that was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns as a seventh rounder in 2024. The very next season, he was then traded to the New York Jets . While in college, he played college football at the University of Virginia and the University of Cincinnati .

He initially began his college football career at Virginia before eventually transferring to Cincinnati in 2021. As a senior at Cincinnati, he earned first team All-AAC honors in 2022.

He made his NFL debut while playing against the Denver Broncos during week 13 of the 2024 regular season. He recorded one tackle in a 41-32 Browns loss.

He lives along with his wife, Nyjae, and their family. He is a father of three.

He was taken during the 2024 NFL Draft just like Bo Nix and Quinyon Mitchell .
