Venezuelan politician who gained notoriety as the mayor of Caracas from 2004 to 2008.

He entered Venezuelan politics when he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the November 1998 elections.

He served as the director of the newspaper publication Correo del Presidente.

He was born and raised in Caracas, Distrito Capital Venezuela.

He has been active in the 2018 rallies against Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro .
