ABOUT JUAN CARLOS

Veteran goalkeeper that first began his professional club soccer career with CD Guadalajara as a teenager in the year 2005. Since then, he has played in numerous soccer leagues across the country of Spain. In June of 2019, he signed a multi-year deal with the Spanish La Liga squad Girona FC.

Prior to his professional club career, he played soccer within the CD Guadalajara youth ranks. Five years later, he joined Rayo Vallecano in the year 2005.

Since beginning his professional soccer career in the year 2005, he has played in over 300 club matches. During that span, he has made over 400 goal saves. During his spell at the La Rosaleda Stadium, Juan Carlos was often hindered by injury problems. On September 9, 2020, the 30-year-old signed a two-year deal with the Greek club Panathinaikos F.C. for an undisclosed fee.

He grew up living with his family in Guadalajara, Spain. He is now a husband and a father of three children.

He primarily plays the position of goalkeeper like Iker Casillas and Roman Burki .
