ABOUT JUDE SCHIMMEL
Basketball player and author best known as a point guard for the University of Louisville. She released the book Dreamcatcher to espouse and inspire other Native Americans to pursue their dreams.
She received the NCAA Elite 89 Award in 2013 and appeared in the 2014 Glamour Magazine’s Top 10 College Women.
She was a keynote speaker at the National Unity Conference and has spoken for over 40 Native American tribes across the US.
She grew up on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Mission, Oregon.
She and Peyton Siva both played their college basketball at Louisville.
