Beauty pageant contestant, actress and model who found fame after being named Miss Venezuela in 1976. She went on to finish as the first runner-up in the 1976 Miss Universe competition in Hong Kong.

She studied medicine at Central University of Venezuela.

She became a host and legal advisor for the television channel RCTV.

She married Luis Fernando Maldonado and has two daughters.
