Director and producer who created the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders in 1983.
She directed an episode of Z Cars where she met her future business partner Tony Holland.
She developed the unsuccessful soap opera Eldorado shortly after EastEnders. She maintained that the BBC hadn't given it a chance to find its footing.
She resided in London where she spent her retirement from TV and died of cancer in 1997.
She provided a star vehicle in EastEnders for Steve McFadden .
