ABOUT JUNKO ONISHI

Post-bop jazz artist favorably compared to jazz great McCoy Tyner and admired contemporaries Kenny Kirkland and Mulgrew Miller .

She studied at the Berklee College of Music after which she relocated to New York City.

Her song Trinity was featured in Blue Note: A Story of Modern Jazz, a 1997 documentary.
