Japanese MMA fighter who has competed in the flyweight division of the UFC. He is a former Bantamweight champion in Rizin Fighting Federation. He has a popular YouTube channel KAIChannelMain, which has accrued 1.3 million subscribers. On his channel, he has mainly posted vlogs.

During his childhood, he trained in karate, sumo, and volleyball. After experiencing multiple street fights, he began to take boxing classes. He eventually started training in MMA.

He enjoys cooking. In August 2024, he trained in Thailand.

He has an older brother called Mikuru Asakura .

In June 2024, he posted a picture of himself alongside fellow MMA fighter Juan Archuleta on his kai_asakura_ Instagram account.
