ABOUT KAROL NAWROCKI

Politician who was inaugurated as president of Poland in August 2025. He was endorsed by the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) party. He campaigned under the slogan "Poland first, Poles first." He served as the director of the World War Two museum in Gdańsk from 2017 to 2021.

He boxed and played football in his youth. He studied history at the University of Gdańsk. He earned a PhD in 2013.

He is an admirer of Donald Trump . He met Trump at the White House in May 2025 and the two were shown giving a thumbs-up in photos released by the White House.

In 2010, he married Marta Smoleń.

He succeeded Andrzej Duda as president of Poland.
