Known for having murdered her partner John Charles Thomas Price in February 2000. She is the first woman in Australian history to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
She claims she was frequently sexually assaulted by several members of her family when she was a child.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and has never taken responsibility or shown remorse for her crimes. She was previously married to a man named David Kellett, whom she attempted to strangle on their wedding night. She allegedly physically abused him in other ways as well.
Her parents are Barbara Roughan and Ken Knight. She had a twin sister. She married David Kellett in 1974 and had children with him.
At the time of the murder, Australian media dubbed her "the female Hannibal Lecter," a character famously played by Anthony Hopkins in the film The Silence of the Lambs .
