Before her parents were married in 1993, her father was previously briefly married to Alexandra James in 1989.

Her father married her mother, Frances Cain, in 1993. She has two siblings, a sister named Emily and a brother named Finlo .

Her grandfather on her mother's side is war hero and Victoria Cross recipient Robert Henry Cain .
