ABOUT KEITA BATES-DIOP

Professional basketball player who plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. He signed with the Suns in July 2023. He played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He posts fitness and basketball content on his popular keitabd Instagram page.

He played for University High School in Normal, Illinois. As a junior, he averaged 18.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks. He was considered one of the top 5 candidates for Illinois Mr. Basketball by the Chicago Tribune.

In June 2018, he was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 48th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Two years later, he signed with the San Antonio Spurs . In December 2021, he scored a career-high 30 points in a 138-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers .

He has a brother called Kai Bates-Diop.

He and fellow basketball player Isaiah Todd both play for the Phoenix Suns.
