Well known by the stage name Big Kap, or The Wardin, he was a hip hop DJ who performed as part of a hip hop supergroup called The Flip Squad.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York.
He was featured in a 2011 viral video where Notorious B.I.G. threw a water bottle at Kap during a 1995 Summer Jam concert.
He and his wife Kaye had a daughter named Mahogani. He died of a heart attack.
He collaborated with Funkmaster Flex on his 1999 album The Tunnel.
