Ken Kragen
ABOUT KEN KRAGEN
American music manager, television producer, author, speaker and non-profit consultant. He is best known for his role in organizing the superstar 1985 fund-raising single and album "We Are the World" and the 1986 charity event Hands Across America.
He attended the UC Berkeley and Harvard University Business School.
The album "We Are the World" was a charity recording for famine relief efforts in Ethiopia. It featured major artists like Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson and reached number one on the Billboards in two weeks, something only formerly accomplished by The Beatles and Rolling Stones . Additionally, in 2010, he and David Mathison founded HomeAid.net, an annual campaign and event to benefit America's homeless.
In 1978, he married Cathy Worthington and had a daughter.
He was the personal manager to many musicians including country music stars Trisha Yearwood , Travis Tritt , Dottie West and Kenny Rogers .
