ABOUT KEVIN LAUE
Former college basketball player for Manhattan College who is notable for being the first player in the history of NCAA Division 1 basketball to be missing a limb. He was the recipient of the ECAC Award of Valor in 2010.
He played for the Virginia-based Fork Union Military Academy in 2008-2009.
He was the subject of a documentary film called Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story.
His father died when Kevin was very young.
Former NCAA basketball coach Bobby Knight was quoted saying "Kevin is a true inspiration to the game of basketball."
