ABOUT KIRK ALYN
He played Superman in the 1948 film serial, then reprised his role in Atom Man Vs. Superman, the 1950 sequel. DC Comics honored him in the book, Fifty Who Made DC Great.
He was a vaudeville chorus boy at the beginning of his entertainment career.
He was also known for the films, Federal Agents Vs. Underworld, Inc. and Radar Patrol Vs. Spy King, both from 1949.
He had a 13-year marriage to Virginia O'Brien that ended in 1955. The couple had three children.
He made three appearances on The Donna Reed Show between 1961 and 1966.
