ABOUT KOBE BUFKIN

NBA shooting guard that was taken as a first-round pick by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2023 Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college basketball at the University of Michigan . As a sophomore, he earned third-team All-Big Ten honors.

He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. At the time, he was considered a four-star prospect.

He was coached by former NBA All-Star, Juwan Howard . As a freshman in 2022, he and coach Howard led the Michigan Wolverines to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.

He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also has brothers named Isaiah.

He was named after Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant .
