ABOUT KRIS KRISTOFFERSON
Actor who starred in Semi-Tough but began as a country singer-songwriter, releasing hits like "Why Me." He played the character Reed Haskett in the Dolphin Tale films.
He attended Pomoma College and was featured in Sports Illustrated for his college sports exploits.
He is known for his songs "Me and Bobby McGee" and "For the Good Times."
He married Fran Beer on February 11, 1961, Rita Coolidge on August 17, 1973, and Lisa Meyers on February 19, 1983. He had eight children.
He occasionally worked with poet Shel Silverstein .
