ABOUT KRISTINA AXEN OLIN
Stockholm's seventeenth mayor from 2006 to 2008, who was just the second woman to hold that post. She is a member of the Swedish Moderate Party.
She was a music teacher by trade and then served as a school principal.
Controversially, she supported the chemical castration of convicted rapists.
She had three children with her husband.
Like her, Charles Evers broke new ground for minorities in politics.
