During her senior year of high school, she was named Michigan Miss Basketball and Michigan Gatorade POY. She finished her high school career with the second most points in Michigan Girl's history with 2,827.

She finished her collegiate basketball career with 1503 points in 92 games played. She attended the University of Michigan prior to transferring to West Virginia University during her sophomore season.

Both of her parents and her sister have all played college basketball at one point. Her mother, Lisa, won the 1988 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship game while at Louisiana Tech University . She began dating NBA player Jaylen Brown in 2023.

She was drafted during the first round of the 2021 WNBA Draft just like Charli Collier .
