ABOUT LAL JOSE

Indian film director and producer who is known for his diverse range of work within the Malayalam film industry. His popularity came in the late 1990's and early 2000's when he released his most popular feature films Chandranudikkunna Dikhil and Neelathaamara.

He attended NSS College in Ottapalam and upon graduation, he earned a job assisting famous director Kamal . After working on sixteen films with the director, he went on to release his first feature film in 1998 called Oru Maravathoor Kanavu.

He has won several awards for his filmmaking including Best Director and Beat Feature Film at the 2012 Kerala State Film Awards for his film Ayalum Njanum Thammil.

He was born and raised in Valapad, Kerala, India and has two children named Irene and Catherine.

He is known for his frequent collaborations with actress Sukumari who has starred in over twelve of his films.
