Lamar Green
ABOUT LAMAR GREEN
Professional basketball player known for playing power forward and center with the Phoenix Suns from 1969 to 1974. He then played with the New Orleans Jazz for 15 games before moving to the American Basketball Association.
He went to high school at the George Washington Carver High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He then went on to play in college for Morehead State from 1966 to 1969. He was picked by the Suns in the fourth round of the 1969 NBA Draft.
His 2,186 rebounds have been the 17th most in Phoenix Suns franchise history. He would later play with the Virginia Squires in the American Basketball Association during the 1974-1975 season.
He was born in Birmingham, Alabama.
He and Paul Westphal both played for the Suns during the 1970s.
