ABOUT LARRY ABNEY

Former power forward who was nicknamed Birdman for his incredible athleticism.

He was a standout rebounder at Nyack High School in New York.

He played college basketball at Fresno State University and set a school record when he pulled down 35 rebounds in a game on February 17, 2000.

He was raised with one younger brother and three younger sisters.

Chris Anderson , another NBA big man who played after Abney, also received the nickname Birdman for his high-flying abilities.
