She was a sports reporter and worked in public relations in Toronto, a job which she found too rigid.

She was a guest judge on Top Chef Canada and on the American version of Iron Chef.

She grew up around New Brunswick, in eastern Canada.

Sandra Lee was another popular TV chef.
