ABOUT LAUREN LEAL

Former teenage soccer phenom that primarily plays the position of women's center back. Since beginning her club career in 2018, she has played soccer professionally in countries such as Brazil, Spain, and the United States. She has also logged in minutes as a member of the Brazilian women's national team.

She first began playing soccer as a kid for the São Paulo FC youth academy. She eventually signed her first professional club contract at the age of 15.

Despite not making the cut for Brazil's 2019 FIFA World Cup team, she was later given the chance to play for Team Brazil during the 2023 FIFA World Cup. Brazil won their first 2023 FIFA match against Panama by a score of 4-0.

She grew up living with her family in São Paulo, Brazil.
