ABOUT LAVELL EDWARDS
College Football Hall of Fame coach best known for his tenure as Brigham Young University's head coach from 1972 to 2000. He led the team to a national title in 1984.
He was an offensive lineman at Utah State.
He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
He was married to Patti Edwards and he had three children, Ann, Jim and John.
Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young played for him at BYU.
