ABOUT LAWRENCE MARCUS
Youngest child of Neiman Marcus Department Store co-founder Herbert Marcus.
He studied at Harvard University before being deployed to Africa during World War II.
His mother is Minnie Lichtenstein Marcus and his brother Stanley became the Neiman Marcus CEO.
Neiman Marcus went private by TPG Capital and Warburg Pincus in 2005.
His father and Abraham Abraham both founded U.S. department stores. Abraham co-founded Abraham & Straus, which was later bought by Macy's.
