His birth name is Lawrence Sheldon Strulović. He took the Ralph Lauren brand to Europe after his father brought Pierre Cardin's fashionwear and Ralph Lauren clothing to Canada.

He has owned the Ferrari dealership in Quebec. Prior to 2021, the Aston Martin F1 Team was called the Racing Point F1 Team.

He is the son of fashion importer Leo Strulovitch. He is married to Raquel Stroll. He was previously married to Claire-Anne Stroll. They have two children. Their son Lance Stroll is a racing driver who is currently competing in Formula One. Their daughter is Chloe Stroll.

He invested in clothing designers Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors alongside Hong Kong investor Silas Chou.
