ABOUT LAWRENCE WONG

Singaporean politician who became the Prime Minister in May 2024. He was the country's fourth prime minister. He had previously served as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Minister for Education.

He studied at the University of Wisconsin , the University of Michigan , and Harvard University .

He worked as an economist in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. In September 2008, he became deputy chief executive officer of the Energy Market Authority.

He divorced his first wife. He then married former banker Loo Tze Lui.

He and Lee Hsien-Loong both served as Singapore's Prime Minister.
