ABOUT LEE BOYD MALVO

Jamaican-American man known for his involvement in the Beltway sniper attacks which took place over the course of three weeks in October 2002. He aided in the killing of 10 people in the Washington, D.C. area alone and was sentenced to multiple life sentences without parole.

He illegally immigrated to Miami, Florida in 2001. He was arrested by Border Patrol in early 2002 and was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.

He was named in a civil lawsuit by the Legal Action Project of the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence after his conviction, along with Bull's Eye Shooter Supply and Bushmaster Firearms. An out-of-court settlement totaling $2.5 million was eventually reached.

His mother, Una Sceon James, was deported from the U.S. back to Jamaica in the aftermath of his crimes.

He was John Allen Muhammad 's accomplice in the 2002 Beltway sniper attacks.
