ABOUT LEON MCCAWLEY
Gained recognition in 1993 at age 19 when he won first prize in the Ninth International Beethoven Piano Competition.
He was a student at Chetham's School of Music under Heather Slade-Lipkin and The Curtis Institute of Music under Eleanor Sokoloff.
He performed as a soloist with many major orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
He married painter Anna Hyunsook Paik.
He recorded all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 's piano sonatas.
