ABOUT LES CLARK

Animator and cartoonist, most recognized as the first of Disney's Nine Old Men. He was an incredibly fast worker and created Disney's Steamboat Willie in a matter of hours.

He met Walt Disney when he was still a student at Venice High School in LA. After graduating, he worked up the nerve to ask him for a job and, based on his amateur sketches, was given an opportunity.

He was also able to direct animated features, including his first, Paul Bunyan, in 1958.

He was born and raised in Los Angeles.

After a chance encounter with Walt Disney at a candy store, he worked up the nerve to ask him for a job after graduating from High School.
