ABOUT LES SHANNON
Soccer manager who led eight clubs from 1966 to 1984. He played center forward during his playing career, mostly spent with Burnley. He worked with Kenilworth Road from 1986 to 2001.
He debuted professionally for Liverpool in 1944.
He managed English, Greek, and Norwegian soccer teams. He passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was born and raised in Liverpool, Merseyside, England.
Along with Pele , he coordinated the soccer sequences in the film "Escape to Victory."
