ABOUT LESLYE HEADLAND

An American director, screenwriter, playwright, and producer. She gained recognition for her work on Bachelorette, as well as the 2015 film Sleeping with Other People. Her body of work often explores the concept of cultural vandalism, delving into themes of addiction that prominently feature in her projects.

In 2010, she began her television career by securing her first job as a staff writer on the FX series Terriers. This marked her entry into the television industry. Following that, she wrote and directed the 2012 film adaptation of her play Bachelorette, which served as her debut as a feature film director.

Her interest in filmmaking was sparked by Alfred Hitchcock's film Rear Window which she cites as a major influence on her creative journey. She executively produced the popular TV show Single Drunk Female .

She is from Maryland. She married actress Rebecca Henderson in 2016

She was one of the co-creators of the Netflix series Russian Doll, working alongside Natasha Lyonne and Amy Poehler in bringing the show to life.
