ABOUT LESTER C. HUNT
Politician, member of the Democratic party, and dentist from the state of Wyoming who served as its 19th Governor from 1943 to 1949. He was also a US Senator from 1949 until his suicide in 1954.
He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University and then worked as a railroad switchman, while studying to become a dentist.
He committed suicide with a rifle while sitting at his desk after several Republicans threatened to publicize information on his son's arrest for soliciting prostitution from a male undercover police officer.
He married Nathelle Hunt.
He and Bonnie Bartlett both studied at Northwestern.
