Professional midfielder and defender who was originally signed by FC Köniz as a teenager in 2008. She was later given an opportunity to sign a multi-year deal with Arsenal FC in July 2018. She has also played for the Switzerland women's national team during her professional career.

She first discovered her passion for playing soccer as a young child coming up. She eventually earned her first professional contract at the age of fifteen.

Following her phenomenal 2021 club season with Arsenal, she was named the Swiss Female National Player of the Year. The very next year, she and Arsenal won the 2022 FA Women's League Cup. Her soccer fame has led her to garner over 230,000 followers on her liawaelti Instagram page.

Growing up, she lived with her family in the Bern, Switzerland area. She is one of two sisters.

She has played for the Swiss national team during her professional career just like Xherdan Shaqiri .
